D.O. Toro

The estate spans 100 hectares of vineyards planted with Tinta de Toro, Muscat, and Malvasia, situated at elevations ranging from 605 to 700 metres. The vines thrive in poor, sandy soils, contributing to the intense character of the grapes. This diverse vineyard includes vines of varying ages, from the youngest at 25 years to ancient, pre-phylloxera vines that are over 120 years old, preserving a unique piece of viticultural history.

Fermentation, both alcoholic and malolactic, is carefully conducted in concrete tanks under controlled temperatures to maintain the purity and depth of flavour. Once fermentation is complete, the wine is aged in a historic underground cellar, carved out centuries ago by hand. This ancient cellar offers ideal conditions for maturation, allowing the wines to develop complexity and character while honouring the traditions of the past.
