Gorka and Imanol carry on their father’s dream of making and commercializing their family brand.  Located in Villabuena de Álava, Benetakoa is located in the heart of Rioja Alavesa, one of the most prestigious wine regions of the country.  Their vineyards are in the foothills of Sierra Cantabria, where higher elevations lead to a smaller yield than you’ll find in the lower valley but of exceptional quality.  And you can taste this quality, even in their fantastic young wines.  They only work with Tempranillo and Viura varietals, producing wines with spectacular freshness and definition.  They are also bold without losing their Rioja identity.  In a nod to tradition, they also produce a Maceración Carbónica young wine, which demonstrates how versatile this style of wine is!
